Here is a collection of things that improve printing with clipper when using Cura 5.5. This is the 2nd installment of a series of articles documenting my journey in “upgrading” an old (2019) Creality Ender 5 with Klipper.
The current problem while printing is, that I get a lot of ringing. Let’s find out what causes it.
The printer has a few hardware modifications installed:
I have always seen the extruder fan more as a problem than as help. The fan does proounce warping and seems to make the 1st layer to detatch.
However, with access to a Sovol SV07, which is an insanley fast klipper printer, I was suprised to see that they are using a quit noisy and strong fan. So it was time to check if it really makes a difference.

I just figured out that Cura-5 has introduced tree support structures (probably has for some time) and this makes so much more sense. Gone are the times of the massive support structures.

With a BL-Touch and an accelerometer on the print head, I suddenly need more wires to the extruder (this is stil la bowden drive Ender 5). So working with what I have at hand, I stripped the plugs from an old Kat5 cable and use it as sensor wire.
So I designed this completely not over engineered BL-Touch and and ADLX-345 holder for my Ender 5.
